Happy Birthday to Papa

12th March
A big birthday balloon for me at the back :-)

Initially, I though of title as Happy Birthday but realized that there are two Birthday in a row so subject will seem confusing so have changed to "Happy Birthday to Papa".

It was a usual Monday and it was working day for me. I came around 6 PM and Nimisha had kept surprised choclate cake for me. It was a family celebration with three of us. Don't assume that my age has crossed a line that I can't celebrate it :-)

I got the birthday knife and helped Aryan to cut the cake , thought to give him a practice before his real day and then smeared butter and cream all over his face. He enjoyed and licked the cream which were near his lips.

After having cake, we geared up to go out for dinner to an Indian restaurant at Journal Square. We caught a train for Journal Square which was two station away. We heard a lot about the Newwark Avenue desi stores and resturants and it kept up to its reputation.

I saw bubbling face on Nimisha watching all "desi" stores and restaurants in a queue right from pinki saloon to bhindi sabji bazar to Pan ka dukan. There were hardly any "goras" on the street. We strolled on the streets and bought few groceries for the house. It was already 9:30 PM so now it was time to head for the dinner.

We went to one of the restaurant and ordered Mango Lassi, Papri chat, Chicken Tikka Masala, Kulcha Naan and meanwhile we thought to feed Aryan with his favourite banana yogurt sitting on baby chair. He had fun having his dinner but really troubled us when we started our dinner. He tried standing on his baby chair, struggling to come out, pulling the table cloth and if you stare at him and show your anger he started crying and shouting. Normally he doesn't give such a show but then every day is another new day for him. He was so cranky that finally Nimisha left the dinner and strolled in the restaurant and then I took turn and we hurriedly tried to finish everything - No sweets on my b'day due to this show at the end :-(

It was 10:30 PM and it seems he was feeling sleepy so we immediately left the place for JSQ station and caught the PATH tain for Newport/Pavonia. He had a nice sleep on the stroller by the time we reached home.

Birthday well spent. Now it's time for Aryan's Birthday on 16th March.
On a closing note two new kids (Son of Subhash Dubey and Son of Deepak Samant) of my friends has joined my b'day club.
